What is this site?

Where am I?

We have a regular game of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition that takes place in the homebrew Norse-themed world of Hættrland. This site is a resource for our group.

Wow! Hættrland looks cool! Can I buy it?

Short answer: no. Longer answer: I have cobbled everything together from multiple sources, some commercial, some not, and I couldn’t re-sell aspects of the world that I’ve developed by modifying existing products. Maybe one day I’ll create a fully unique world using only ideas and cities and maps of our own design, but this isn’t it.

Okay, but can I use it in my own D&D games?

Absolutely! I’d be honored. I put a lot of effort into making a cohesive world out of different sources and ideas, with a bunch of my own lore and ideas on top of it, and if you see anything you like, grab it! That’s what I did, and I’d love to think I’m passing it along.

How about your homebrew rules? Can I use them?

As above, you bet!
